He Is!

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."  Hebrews 11:6

If you look up the phrase "he is" in the Greek it is defined in this verse as "to be".  So, out of curiosity, I looked up the word "be" in the Merriam-Webster Thesaurus.  Some synonyms and related words to "be" are:  breathe, exist, live, subsist,  abide, continue, endure, last, lead, persist, survive; move; flourish, prosper, thrive.  He is all that and more!  Some near antonyms of "be" are: disappear, evaporate, vanish; cease, end, stop.

Think about it.  He is the breathe of life...He lives in us...He endures and lasts forever...If we let Him, He will flourish in our lives...He will prosper us if we are faithful...the list can go on and on.  But, we can also be reassured that He will not disappear from our lives...He will not evaporate or vanish, never to be seen or heard from again...He will not cease or stop dealing with those who have a desire for something more in their lives.  How refreshing it is to know who HE is!  And when we begin to diligently seek Him, He will bless us beyond what we can even comprehend!

And, it all starts will a little bit of faith.  Like the song says:  "Faith, faith, faith, just a little bit of faith.  Faith, faith, faith, just a little bit of faith.  You don't need a whole lot.  Just use what you've got.  Faith, faith, faith, just a little bit of faith."
