1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJV) says, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
I have read this scripture so many times. And, when I have, I think about heaven. Oh, all the beautiful things in heaven God has for those who love Him. But this morning God opened my eyes to a different aspect of this verse.
I began to think of Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” And, I began to realize that we as Children of God have not even seen, heard nor even comprehended ALL the great & mighty things God has for those that love Him.
The word “love” in 1 Corinthians 2:9 is define in the KJV Greek Lexicon as “to entertain, to be contented with”. Wow! When we begin to entertain the presence of the Lord and we become content with our lives, even if things are not going how we think they should, we are showing Him a whole new level of love. And when we begin to do that…OH the great & mighty things He will begin to do in your life. Things you never even imagine were possible.
Those who have received the power of the Holy Ghost must realize that God has SO much more for you than just sitting on a pew every service. He wants you to love Him in a way that brings those great & mighty things into your every day life. Yes, you will have trials and tribulations. But with God on your side, what do you have to fear?! He has prepared some miracles, signs & wonders for you that will blow your mind.
