~ Isaiah 62:6-7 (KJV), "I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, and give him no rest, till he establish , and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth." The Message translation says, "I've posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem. Day and night they keep at it, praying, calling out, reminding God to remember. They are to give him no peace until he does what he said, until he makes Jerusalem famous as the City of Praise."
~ I know that this scripture talks about Jerusalem, but I also know that ALL scripture is given to us to teach & instruct us. That being said, I also know that there are warriors that fight physical battles. But, there are warriors that fights battle a different kind...spiritual battles. And, when I read this scripture last night at prayer meeting, that is what the Lord pointed out to me. There are warriors or watchmen that He has placed in places so that they can watch, observe and keep guard over those in the church. It is those watchmen that do not hold their peace when it comes to praying and calling out to God for those that are faced with battles that are spiritual in nature. And it is those watchmen that continue to pray and call out until there is a victory won. Then they are there to help others praise for the victory that is won.
~ So thankful for the watchmen God has placed in our lives. ♥
