This thought came to my mind in prayer the other day. In order to see the miracles, signs and wonders that we are desiring to see, we need do a “spiritual overhaul” in our lives.
Without going into too much detail, I want to look at how an engine in a car is overhauled.
1) First before the project is started, there has to be a thorough inspection of the engine. In much the same way, we need to do a thorough inspection of our lives. What are the problem areas? Are their any “leaks”? Any broken “seals”? Is there any unnecessary “build-up”?
2) Next, you need to check the ID and casting numbers to ensure that you are working on the engine you think you are working on. Check your “ID” and your “casting numbers”. A casting is a mold. Think about it. Whose child are you? A child of God will be molded after Him.
3) Then the next steps involve removing parts, measuring and eventually replacing the old parts with new ones. That is what needs to done in our lives in order to have a spiritual overhaul. There are some thing's that need to be removed. Then we need to measure our selves up with the Word of God. Then put in the the “new replacement parts”.
A spiritual overhaul is what is going to take in order to see the great & mighty things God wants to do in our lives in 2013.
