~ Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
We cannot pattern and fashion our lives after the things of this world. It can corrupt and cloud our mind. The change starts by transforming our mind and our thinking. Our mind is like a tape recorder. To change our thinking, we must change what we read, the music we listen to, the things we look at and the information we listen to and digest. Like Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
When we begin to transform our thinking, we will begin to see things differently. We will be able to see more clearly the path God has set before us. And we will be able to navigate the terrain of that path with more ease. We will begin to realize that there will be valleys, but we will trust Him more to lead us. Thinking on things that are true, honest, just, pre, lovely, of good report and virtuous will do more than change our thinking it will change our lives.
