Bear Good Fruit

Matthew 7:16-20 (TNIV), "By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."

I know that this set of scriptures is talking about prophets, but I think it can be applied to any Christian.  As we go about our day, what kind fruit is our "tree" bearing?

When we are full of the Spirit of God, the fruit we bear will impact our lives and those around us in a great way.  Galatians 5:22-23 lists a few fruit that we should bear in order to make a positive, Godly impact on those around us.  "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (TNIV)

Lord, help us to bear fruit that allows others to see You in us.  Help us to make a difference in the lives we come in contact with each day.
