The Unshakable Power Of God

Hebrews 12:28 (KJV)
"Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear."

The Message translations says, "Do you see what we've got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander."

The word 'kingdom' in this verse talks about his power. As children of God, we have access to His great power. His power can not be diminished. It can not be shaken to the point that it crumbles into nothing. So, can you see why we should be so thankful? There is absolutely nothing that can stop the power of God from moving in our lives and in our situations.

The verse says that we must be brimming with worship. Worship goes beyond praise. It is like taking your praise to a higher level. Praise is using words to express our thankfulness. But, worship involves our whole being. To be brimming with worship means that we must have such a great amount of worship in our hearts that is just can not be contained. And, our worship must be full of an unfathomable honor and respect for who He is and what He is capable of doing in our lives.

I like what the Message translation said that God is not an indifferent bystander. He is not going to half heartedly help us or stand by and not help us. He is going to step into the midst of our situations with His great unshakable power. How reassuring! He is a great and mighty God that is so deserving of our praise and worship.

Hope each of you have an awesome, power-filled "God" day!
