Faith...Look What It Can Do For You & Me!

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God" ~Romans 5:1-2

• In this verse it states that we are justified by faith.  This means that our belief and trust in who he is and what he can do can clearly and strongly state that He has given us the power to do whats right.  
• Also, we have peace in Him.  Peace in this verse is defined as: security, safety, prosperity, felicity, (because peace and harmony make and keep things safe and prosperous).  In Him we are secure, safe, prosperous, happy and content. 
• By that same faith, we can enter into grace that sets us up in a firm, fixed place.  Grace in this verse is defined as:  that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness: grace of speech.  By our belief and trust in who He is and what He can do, we can be firmly planted in joy, delight in the things of God, sweetness of His presence and speak encouraging and kind things. 
• Then, we can rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  We can feel and express joy and triumph in joyful and confident expectation of the magnificence and preeminence of Him.

Now this doesn't mean that we will not have trials and temptation.  But, our faith will help us get through these times.  Throughout the New Testament, we read accounts were the faith of various people saved, healed and delivered someone.  Faith can totally change any situation.   It brings peace, grace and rejoicing into our lives.   To sum it up,  I think this quote I read yesterday on my calendar fits well.  "Faith makes the up-look good, the outlook bright, the in-look favorable and the future glorious."
