Hide It In Your Heart...

Psalm 119:11 says, "Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you."  I have read this verse many, many times.  But I got to thinking about it a little bit more deeply.  If we hid the Word of God in our houses and hands, enemies may take it from us; if we hid it in our heads, our memories may fail us: but in our hearts, the Word can surround our hearts in a mold that makes lasting impression on our hearts.

When something is molded it can change the nature or character of something.  The Word of God can change our hearts from being  hopeless, dark, deceitful, broken and sorrowful.  It can allow it to be molded and the impressions of love, joy, peace, healing, honesty, hope and so many more good characteristics be lastingly made upon our hearts.

Treasure the Word of God for what it is worth.  Read it...study it...think about it...reflect on it...learn from it and be determined to follow the principles within its pages.  It will leave lasting impressions upon heart heart for always!
