I have noticed one thing about myself over the years is that I am an observer. I often catch myself observing how people act and react. Not in a critizing way, of course. But, I seem to ntoice little things. And, I have noticed lately how many people I know have been faced with some trying times lately. There are so many "broken" things in this world today. Broken marriages, broken hearts, broken friendships, broken families... The list can go on and on.
You know, if you have an emergency and have to call 911, they will give you instruction over the phone to help you with your situation. And, usually they will tell you something to the effect of..."Hold on, help is on the way!" We have the same hope in a spiritual way available to us 24/7. For all the broken things in your life, you can call "Heaven's 911". Not only can the Word of God give us the instructions we need to help in various circumstances, but it can reassure us that when we call out to Jesus...Help is on the way.
There are so many promises within the pages of the Word of God that we need to hold on to until He comes back for his church. I do not want to ever become complacent...I want to always be searching the Word of God and holding on to those promises I have been given.
My prayer today is that as I go about my day today, I want to remember those that are broken and to touch God for them. That they may hold on to the promises and truths they have been given and that they may realize that help is on the way.
