As we look into the beautiful might sky we can (weather permitting) see the stars shining bright. And, sometimes we can see the moon shining brightly. The moon, in actuality, has no light of its own. It reflects light from that big ball of fire...the sun.
Over and over in the Word of God, Jesus is referred to as the "light of the world". Just as the moon reflects the sun, our lives should reflect Him. As we go about our day, people should be able to see Jesus in us. When peole see how we act, speak and dress they should be seeing what Jesus would do if He were in our place. He was a GREAT example to us. And when we are faced with various situaitons, a good question to ask ourselves is "what would Jesus do?" In John 13:15 (The Message translation) it says, "I've laid down a pattern for you. What I've done, you do." It can't get much plainer than that...By following His example, we allow His light to shine through us.
