Stress Management...I Have The Answer!

Life is full of things that can either help or hinder us.  For example: STRESS.  What is stress? This is what the eHealthMD website had to say, "Stress is the emotional and physical strain caused by our response to pressure from the outside world. Common stress reactions include tension, irritability, inability to concentrate, and a variety of physical symptoms that include headache and a fast heartbeat.  It's almost impossible to live without some stress. And most of us wouldn't want to, because it gives life some spice and excitement. But if stress gets out of control, it may harm your health, your relationships, and your enjoyment of life."   I am sure any one of us have said at one time or another..."I can't handle the stress!"  But, is actuality the level stress is determined by our response to the pressures we feel.  We can either simply not deal with the pressures and allow stress to build up until it eventually changes us into a totally different individual or we can learn stress management techniques that helps cope with pressures in the process still maintaining our integrity.

We lives in a world that is becoming more and more fast paced.  With gas prices going up and groceries bills getting higher along with it, one's checkbook can suffer.  Stress is inevitable...it will happen.  But handling it properly will not only help ourselves but it is doing a favor to those around us.  The following is a stress management technique I found on the same website I mentioned above:

"One method of stress management is called the TARP method, and it has been proven effective for many. A tarp is a protective cover thrown over something - a car or boat, for example - to protect it from the elements. Likewise, the TARP method offers a form of protection, too - protection against the distressing and sometimes harmful effects of stress.

The TARP method teaches simple techniques that can be used any time, anywhere, to control your response to stressful situations. It consists of four steps:

Of course no matter what technique you use, prayer should ALWAYS be worked in there.  Think about it, who else in the world is capable enough to not only help you to see the problem but also guide you through dealing with it and ultimately giving you the peace that passes ALL understanding?  You know the answer to that as well as I do...JESUS.  No matter what we face today, JESUS is STILL the answer!
