Hebrews 10:19, "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus".
The Greek Lexicon defines "boldness" as follows: "1) freedom in speaking, unreservedness in speech. a) openly, frankly, i.e without concealment. b) without ambiguity or circumlocution. c) without the use of figures and comparisons. free and fearless confidence, cheerful courage, boldness, assurance. 3) the deportment by which one becomes conspicuous or secures publicity."
John 14:14 says that if we ask any thing in His name, he will do it. If we boldly come to Him in prayer for our needs and desires, he will answer. The Word doesn't say He will answer according to our will, but just that he will do it. Like my son said the other day..."sometimes Jesus says yes, sometimes He says no and then sometimes He says wait. No matter what the answer may be, we can be assured that He will take care of us. All it takes is a boldness on our part to come into His holy presence.
One of the antonyms of bold is fearful. The devil would love nothing more that to instill fear in our hearts. For it when we begin to fear that we become distracted from the things of God. In Psalm 118:6 it says, "The Lord is on my side, I will not fear". Isaiah 41:3 says, "For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee". There will be times in our life when it seems that there are those that work against us to hurt and/or hinder us in our walk with God. Those type of situations can distract us and cloud our thinking. But, we can boldly enter into HIS presence and He will take care of us. Hebrews 13:6 says, "So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."
Hebrews 4:16 says, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." No matter what the situation...we can boldly come before Him in prayer and He has the answer. Whether we need healing, direction, forgiveness or renewing. We can lay hold of the mercy He has for us and discover and understand His grace to help us make it through our situation.
Thank you JESUS for that boldness to enter!
