These are the thoughts that started going through my mind when I read the above scripture:
I love the winter...especially when there is snow. But there is something so exciting about watching the little flowers begin beginning to poke through the soil in the springtime. At least it is around here...in the spring when our flower garden is starting to sprout, I can clearly here the kids sing..."Mommy come here!"...at their discovery.
Growing up in North Dakota, I knew what a true cold, winter was like. Cold snow & winds that seemed to numb you and blow right through your body. Using that analog
y, life can seems so wintry. Though you are surrounded by people there may be times of loneliness or maybe the trials you face seem to numb your senses or maybe the winds of fear and doubt seem to penetrate right through you. But, just as winter is only for a season...these wintry times in your life will pass. The spring reviving rains will comes and wash away to evidence of winter. Then as you look in the soil of your life...you see hope...a new flower pushing it way up. Someday, that flower will reach up towards the heavens and with it bring a fragrance that is rejuvenating. It is then that the season of singing will have come. So don't worry...go forward with courage and faith...for these wintry times will pass.
