I received this verse in my email and thought I'd share my thoughts. 1 Peter 5:7 says "Cast all your cares on Him for He careth for you". Casting…the first thing that came to mind for fishing of all things. When you are cast fishing is takes practice to get it just right…releasing the button at just the right time…if you don’t the fishing line will not go as far or where you intended for it to go. So many times in life, we do not let go of our cares and anxieties. For some strange reason we keep holding on to them even though they can cause unneeded stress in our lives. All it takes is for us to release those cares and anxieties to Him. He will take care of the rest. Why? Because He cares…He has a desire to protect and direct us. What an awesome reassurance! It is as simple as casting a fishing line…swing back and cast them out and release them! See, heave ho and away they go!
