Recuperating...One Day At A Time

I had my surgery on Friday, August 31st...everything went well. Thank God! My day had started at 4:30am when I woke up. And, I was on my way home from the Surgery Center at 9:45am. I was in and out all that day due to the anesthesia and pain medication. I felt pampered this past weekend. My breakfasts, lunches and dinners were served to me by my personal chef (my husband) in fancy dishes while I was in bed. Which was usually soup garnished with crackers. The kids were always checking to make sure I had plenty of water to drink. The kids would help me when I would get up to do some walking around the house. But, yesterday Jack went back to work and I back to reality. He had taken care of the kids over this past long weekend but I have slowly (literally) gotten back into the groove. By yesterday, I was moving a little bit faster than "granny mode" around the house. It was quite funny on Saturday when my son was walking by me and said, "Mommy, why are you walking like that?". My husband lovingly has dubbed me "granny" for the last few days.

Overall, I am very thankful for the many prayers from friends and family. I know that the recuperating process takes time. But, I will take it just one day at a time.

"One day at a time sweet Jesus. That's all I'm asking from you. Just give me the strength to do everyday what I have to do."
