I read this scripture in my email this morning: "God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19 (NIV) My friend who sent it to me had this written in the subject line: God Is Bigger. Of course, as usual, it made me think of a song. As I recall, as a child my parents had this song on a record sung by Evie. (Now that is going way back! I am sure the album was copyrighted in the late 70's!).

Life...it is full of its blessings and good times...but it is also full of times of problems, questions, shadows, confusion, fears and hang-ups. Within the first few verses of Ecclesiastes 3, it lists circumstances that we face in life. Verse 1 sums it up..."To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven". And, when life seems to be larger than us...there is someone who is larger than life. Jesus is bigger than ANY mountain in our life that we can or cannot see. How can you not see a mountain? Just as fog and clouds can hide the mountains at times, distractions and problems can cloud our vision. But that is the time when we need to stop...and ask Him to "breathe" on our circumstances. Like the old songs says, "Breathe on me Jesus, let me feel your mighty power". Let Him blow away the fog and clouds. It is then that you will see that He IS larger than life.
