Fervent And Ignited!

We are having a "Fall Cookout" with friends tonight. And, as I was going about my day getting everything 'just so' I turned on KLTY 94.9. This is the song that I heard:

What a way to start a day! With a praise song like that in my heart, I am ready to face the day! I like the part that says "Let your holy fire ignite". Romans 12:11 says, "Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord". If you look up the word fervent in the Greek Lexicon, it defines it as "to boil with heat, to be hot; fervent in spirit, said of zeal for what is good". When we get it in our hearts to live a holy and acceptable life for God, He ignites us with His holy fire. Another song that comes to mind is: "It's just like fire, shut up in my bones. When I think of what the Lord has done, I got to go and tell someone". He has blessed the Maloy household so much that I just can not keep it quiet! Yes, we have had our ups and downs, our financial struggles and frustrations in life along the way...but through it all, He has ALWAYS been there. No matter what the circumstance, He has been faithful to bring us through. I want to be useful for His glory...to salt/season lives with His love...to show others Him - the light that gives life....and to be fervent and ignited with His holy fire!
