What A Heritage!

I read a scripture on a friend's blog this morning that just go the "wheels" to turning inside my head...Psalm 119:111 "Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart."

A testimony implies an outward sign or a firsthand confirmation of something God has done. David says that he has taken the testimonies of the Lord as a heritage. The good ol' Merriam-Webster says that heritage is something possessed as a result of one's situation or birth. As a result of our rebirth...we can experience firsthand the power and might of God Almighty! If that doesn't make your heart rejoice, then you may need a "heart transplant"!

What a heritage...we have been chosen by God to experience healing, deliverance, preservation, protection and redemption! Rejoicing is expressing joy or triumph. Through him, we have the victory! We have a heritage! So, how are you going to express your triumph today?

Psalm 32:11 says - Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Psalm 33:1 says - Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Psalm 97:12 says - Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Philippians 4:4 says - Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
