Overwhelming Victory in Jesus

Romans 8:37-39 NLT, "No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.  And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away.  Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."  ~ The devil, will use whomever and whatever situation he can to get us sidetracked from the will of God for our lives.  We have to start standing up and claiming the Word of God over our lives!  Despite all the things the devil throws at us, we have OVERWHELMING VICTORY in Jesus.  

In Isaiah 54:17 NIRV, it says, "But no weapon that is used against you will succeed. People might bring charges against you. But you will prove that they are wrong. Those are the things I do for my servants. I make everything right for them, announces the Lord."   Just stand upon the Word of God, read it and use ti as your map on this journey in life.  And realize that through the power of God, we do not fight battles as the world fights battles.  2 Corinthians 10:3-4 NIRV, "I do live in the world. But I don't fight my battles the way the people of the world do. The weapons I fight with are not the weapons the world uses. In fact, it is just the opposite. My weapons have the power of God to destroy the camps of the enemy." 

Ephesians 6:10:18 NIRV says, "Finally, let the Lord make you strong. Depend on his mighty power.  Put on all of God's armor. Then you can stand firm against the devil's evil plans. Our fight is not against human beings. It is against the rulers, the authorities and the powers of this dark world. It is against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly world. So put on all of God's armor. Evil days will come. But you will be able to stand up to anything. And after you have done everything you can, you will still be standing.  So stand firm. Put the belt of truth around your waist. Put the armor of godliness on your chest.  Wear on your feet what will prepare you to tell the good news of peace.  Also, pick up the shield of faith. With it you can put out all of the flaming arrows of the evil one. Put on the helmet of salvation. And take the sword of the Holy Spirit. The sword is God's word. At all times, pray by the power of the Spirit. Pray all kinds of prayers. Be watchful, so that you can pray. Always keep on praying for all of God's people."   I like what it says, "AT ALL TIMES".  No matter what is happening, whether you are having a great day or a not-so-great day...PRAY by the power of the Spirit.  Pray all kinds of prayers.  Prayers for healing, deliverance, salvation, financial blessings, protection, guidance, etc.  Pray about everything!  Be watchful!  The devil is like a lion seeking his prey.  He is looking to see who or what he can use against you to destroy and devour you.  1 Peter 5:8-9 NLT says, "Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil, your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour. Take a firm stand against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are."  You are not the only Child of God going through these things.  There are other christian brothers and sisters facing the same type of situations.  So, as you are praying for your situation, pray for the others that may be going through the same things.  

In the Armor of God (Ephesians 6), it talks about talks about taking up the Sword of Spirit, which is the Word of God.   In Biblical times, a soldier didn't do into battle without a sword, unless he was otherwise instructed to by God (i.e. Gideon).  When we are faced with "battles" we must keep in mind that they are spiritual battles and that the best way to fight them is to be equipped with the spiritual Armor of God.  The Word of God is powerful.  And, when we pray the Word of God and use it during our battles, we are not fighting with our strength, but HIS.  The battle is the Lord's, but we are privileged to be a conduit He works through.  So, allow Him to use you to not only work in your situation, but in the situation of others.  Through HIM we have OVERWHELMING VICTORY! ♥
