For the past two mornings, I have woke up with this excerpt from the song Victor's Crown going through my head: "Every high thing must come down. Every stronghold shall be broken. You wear the Victor's crown. You overcome."
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says, "(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."
Sometime as we go through our day to day routines, we have a tendency to allow other things become more of a priority than our prayer time, bible study time and being useful for HIS glory. We get caught up in reading other books instead of taking time to read the Word of God. Reading books is good. I am all for it. But, we must take time to read the greatest book ever written.
We fight battles every day. But, 9 times out of 10 they are spiritual battles not fleshly or carnal battles. The devil will use whomever and whatever he can to derail us from the being right on track and in the will of God. But we must remember that we have our weapons fortified with the power of God Almighty.
He has overcome the world and the spirit in this world. He wears the Victor's Crown. With Him on our side, we SHALL be victorious!
