Jeremiah 17:7 says, "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is." The NIRV translations says, "But I will bless any man who trusts in me. I will show my favor to the one who depends on me." Sometimes, things is life get difficult. And, things turn out totally opposite on how we planned and hoped they would turn out. We had dreams. And, we were looking forward to things being a certain way and then they were shattered with any kind of notice. It is those kind of things that can wear away at our hope, trust and faith. But no matter what happens, we must still trust in HIM and the plan He has for our lives. We must place our lives in His capable hands. He knows the hurt we are faced with right now. He knows every little detail. And, even when we do not understand the whys...He has it all in control. And, when we begin to trust Him and put our hope in Him and HIS plan, we will be led out of the darkness and into the sunshine of His glory and grace.
I am reminded of a old hymn, "When our hearts are burdened with sorrow and it seems all help is gone. Jesus whispers do not falter I will leave you not alone. Then somehow amidst my trials how it is I cannot see. Then I hear a voice from heaven gently saying follow me. There is sunshine in the shadows. There is sunshine in the rain. There is sunshine in our sorrows. When our hearts are filled with pain. There is sunshine when we're burdened. There is sunshine when we pray. There is sunshine a heavenly sunshine, blessed sunshine all the way."
Dr. Tony Evans has said, "God will meet you where you are in order to take you where He wants you to go. Follow Him." So, no matter what you are facing, know this, God is meeting you where you are and He is fixin' to take you where He wants you to go, according to the tailor-made plan He has for you. Your best option is to trust & follow Him. Even if you do not understand why things have happened the way they have. Trust in Him and you will be blessed. Hope in Him and He will show His favor upon you. He will bring sunshine to your dark, cloudy circumstances.
Just as I was finishing up this post, a post came across my Facebook from Joyce Meyer's it seemed to fit in well right here. "God will make all the pieces of your life work together for His purpose, even when you don’t see tomorrow’s provision." Thank you, JESUS, for working all the pieces together for YOUR purpose. ♥
