In Ephesians 4:1-3 (NIRV), the Apostle Paul encourages us, "So I am asking you to live a life worthy of what God chose you for. Don't be proud at all. Be completely gentle. Be patient. Put up with one another in love. The Holy Spirit makes you one in every way. So try your best to remain as one. Let peace keep you together."
After an awesome prayer meeting last night at LWC, I was on my way home thinking about what "theme" I was going to do on a certain project I've been asked to do. As I simply asked the Lord to give me some ideas, one word came to my mind, "Peace". As the ideas begin to flow through my mind from that point, the main focus was "peace" and "unity". This set of scriptures perfectly puts it into words. When we remain unified in one accord towards one purpose, doing the will of God and what He has called us all to do, there is such a peace that flows. It is a peace that passes all understanding. Sometimes situations come our way that can leave us hurt or wounded in our spirit. But, if we can let the peace of God flow freely, healing and the ability to forgive can bind up our broken heart. We are not to be too proud to forgive. We need to be gentle in our actions and words. And, we need to put up with one another in love. Everybody makes mistakes. But, we need to love one another with a love that is forgiving and unconditional. We need to allow the spirit of God to move in our lives... living our lives worthy of what God has called us to do.
So thankful for the insight that the Word of God daily provides. These verse are something that I want to apply to my life. I want to live worthy of my calling! ♥
