Be Brave...Don't Give Up!

~ Psalm 31:24 (MSG), "Be brave. Be strong. Don't give up. Expect God to get here soon." You know, we all face so many trials and obstacles in our lifetime. Some are more devastating than others. But one thing that keeps me going from day to day is the Word of God. And, as I read this verse this morning, I thought of those I know that are facing some devastating things in their lives. My encouragement to them is to be brave...push those fears aside. Be strong...understand that with God on your side, you CAN withstand this hardship. Don't give up...when the "enemy of your soul" tells you to give up, the God-given hope whispers "Get up and try one more time". All these things are possible because when we put our faith and trust in God, we can expect that He is going to show up on the scene and everything will go according to His plan for our lives. Even though we may not always understand the "whys" in life, we must trust that He has it all under control. Like the old hymn says, "It will be worth it all, when we see Jesus. Life's trials will seem so small, when we see Christ. One glimpse of His dear face, all sorrow will erase. So bravely run this race, 'til we see Christ."
