♪♫ Singing..."Greatly blessed and highly favored. Imperfect but forgiven child of God". This totally sums up how I am feeling today. I am imperfect. But, I am a forgiven Child of God. I am so greatly blessed and highly favored. There was such a great move of God this morning. I just love it when God pours out his power and anointing showing us that He is a great & mighty God.
I heard so many great things this morning in the teaching and preaching that I do not have enough room here to type them all. But, I would like to sneak in a few.
Sunday morning teaching was part 3 of the Wisdom's Storehouse series. It was titled, "Keep Your Heart With All Diligence".
- One interesting thing about the Word of God is that it never gives us a commandment without the instruction as to how to accomplish the commandment.
- If the inner man becomes diseased or clogged up, then the flow of the Holy Ghost is restricted in every area of our life.
- If you do not guard your heart, then the truths that are there will be lost and the generations to come will suffer.
- We must be diligent about what we allow our eyes to focus on. With Godly discipline we can control the direction of our vision.
- He brought out that we need to "occupy until Jesus comes". (Taken from the parable in Luke 19). He mentioned that occupy means "to take charge". We are not to sit back and wait until He comes, we need to take charge or take dominion until He comes.
- We need to take dominion of our worship. It is about time that we give the glory due His name. We need to bring a sacrifice of praise every time we come to Him.
- Our circumstances should not dominate our worship, our covenant with HIM should dominate our worship.
- Romans 12:1, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Everything that we say and do needs to be holy and acceptable to God. From our worship all the way down to how we act and dress.
- We need to have dominion over our wealth. Don't let your wealth dominate you. Greed and covetousness are the dangers of wealth. Pay your tithes to the Lord...and like Isaiah 1:19 says, "If ye be willing andobedient , ye shall eat the good of the land." And, Malachi 3:10, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and proveme now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."
- We need to have dominion over "the way". We do not always get to chose "the way" we go...God does. We have to make up our minds that we are going to walk with the Lord no matter what our circumstances are around us.
- And, we need to dominate our witnessing. We shouldn't be ashamed to bring someone to our church, being afraid that someone will scare them off. You're not going to run anyone off that you want to keep.
- Our prayer should be, "Lord, give me the strength and dominion to be what YOU want me to be.
