This morning, I am reminded of the scripture in Matthew 29:29-31. When a sparrow falls, God sees it and takes care of it. We are more important than many sparrows. We are so important that He knows the exact number of hairs on our heads. That just boosts my faith, knowing that no matter what we face, He is there to take care of it.
Here are the lyrics to the hymn “His Eye Is On The Sparrow”:
Why should I feel discouraged. Why should the shadows come. Why should my heart be lonely. And long for heaven and home. When Jesus is my portion. My constant friend is He. His eye is on the sparrow. And I know He watches me. His eye is on the sparrow. And I know He watches me.
Chorus: I sing because I'm happy. I sing because I'm free. For His eye is on the sparrow. And I know He watches me.
Let not your heart be troubled. His tender word I hear. And resting on His goodness. I lose my doubts and fears. I draw Thee closer to me. A constant friend is He. His eye is on the sparrow. And I know He watches me. His eye is on the sparrow. And I know He watches me.
