"God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you're ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done." ~ 2 Corinthians 9:8 (MSG)
The King James Version of this same verse says, "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work."
The word grace in this verse is defined as: that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness: good will, loving-kindness, favor. If you think about it, that is exactly the things that are wrapped up in blessings. The Word says that He is able to make all these things abound toward you. He is all-powerful, strong and mighty. He uses these attributes to abundantly bless you & I.
Why does He do this? Not only because He loves us so much. But, because we may always have contentment and all our needs continually met. So that we may exceed in every good, joyful, happy, excellent and upright thing that we do.
We need to grasp a hold of the thought that He can and will use His all-powerful, strong and mighty ways to abundantly bless us with all the things we need and so much more. So that we can then go out and get done what we need to be doing as a Child of God. And He will help us to exceed in those good, joyful, happy, excellent and upright things that we do.
So, don't be anxious, worried and laden down with the cares of this life. Where the next meal is going to come from...how the electric bill is going to be paid...etc. He is ABLE to provide all these things. He is just waiting for us to come to the realization that we can completely and totally depend on Him for everything that we need. When we do that, He will begin to show us His power by pouring out the blessings. It is then that our faith will be boosted and we will be ready for anything and everything knowing that He has it all under control!
We went through some tough times in our family several years ago. There were times, in my human thinking that I didn't know where the money, food and clothing were going to come from. But, one thing that I did know was that God was able to provide for our every need. I trusted that He would take care of us. And, over the years He has abundantly blessed us in so many ways. Now, I cry tears of thankfulness when I think of all He has brought us through and where we are today. He is GREAT & GREATLY to be PRAISED! And, I look forward to Him to keep pouring out the blessings as the days, months and years go by.
