Psalm 32:8 says "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye".
We all face decisions every day. But at some point in one's lifetime he/she will be faced with a decision that is difficult to make. These are the ones for which you seek the will of God. Our family is faced with one such decision. I came across this verse in Psalm 32 and decided to study it out.
In this verse, the Lord "comes into the psalm" to instruct His people. To just remind them of what He is doing and will do.
He says, "I will instruct you". This means that He will carefully consider all of the circumstances and consequences with wisdom and deep understanding to make you strong and flourish in your walk with Him.
He then says, "I will teach you in the way you should go". Here He will direct your attention toward the way you should go at certain times in your life. That way may mean changing attitudes and behaviors. It may mean that will have to go the distance on the journey. But, it is all for a specific purpose.
Lastly, He says, "I will guide you with my eye". He has formed a plan for each person...a plan of action and behavior. There will times He will caution or warn you. There will be times that you will have to apply and reapply His principles in areas of your life that need to be changed, He has a plan to rearrange your life to give you a hope and a future. And coupled with His guidance, know this, His mind is on you and His spirit is upon you.
