What Are You Thankful For?

JGTG1TGheadI was looking on a website yesterday and that was the question of the week.  Now, I try to take out time throughout the year to count my blessings.  But, one thing I am thankful for this Thanksgiving, is that all my family will be together this year.  My Dad and brother are coming in from New Mexico, my Mom will be here and of course my in-laws will be here.  I am looking forward to deep fried turkey (my hubby makes the best), mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, dressing (my mother-in-laws is so good), pecan pie and my mom's pumpkin pie (which is scrumptious).

I feel so very blessed in so many ways, that it is difficult to pick just one thing to be thankful for.  Above all, I am thankful for the many blessings God has bestowed upon my family.  No matter how my day is going, whether I feel like I am walking on the mountain top or struggling through the valley, God has always been there for me. A song that we sing in the choir at church comes to mind:  "I thank you. I thank you.  For all you've done and all that you will do.  Your faithful, I'm grateful.  Lord, I thank you".   In Psalm 105:1 it says, "O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people".  I guess that is what we do at Thanksgiving; giving thanks and letting other know what God has done for us.

Though I think that we should be thankful all year long, for the time being  think about what you are thankful for this year.  What would it be?
