Busy Weekend

My days, hours and minutes have blurred together since about 1am Saturday morning. Jack called to tell me that he was half hour away from home. He was not expecting to get home for another few days. But, THANK GOD he was able to come home early! It was so cute to see the kids' reaction when he went into their rooms around 2am to give them a kiss. Kalynn opened her eyes slowly and then she realized Daddy was standing over her...she wrapped her arms around his neck and said, "Daddy your home!". Jackson's reaction was a little different at first. He opened his eyes and almost started to cry. I think he thought it was a dream and Daddy really wasn't home . Then he looked over to me and then back and Daddy and smiled real big and went back to sleep. Kalynn has hardly let him out of her sight since he has come home. She even mowed almost all the yard with him Saturday morning on the riding lawn mower. Jackson mowed some with him too. We spend most of Saturday "out on the town" together as a family.

Saturday night we were busy helping people get unstuck from the mud. Our neighbors had allowed some people to park in the field for the Celebrate Freedom Concert being held up at South Fork Ranch. The fields up at South Fork were too muddy to park in. We had allowed our neighbors to park some cars in our back yard also, being so many were needing a place to park. It had rained quite a bit Saturday and some of those who had parked in our back yard and in the neighbors field were thoroughly stuck. Our back yard looks like someone went four-wheeling in it. But, I figured, yards can be easily fixed. It saved some people from having to walk two miles from the school down the road up to South Fork for the concert. And, Sunday has been busy with early choir practice this morning...and I have to be back at the church in about an hour or so to practice for tonight. But I am alright with a busy weekend...I have my husband home after him being gone to San Antonio for almost two weeks!
